Blue Door Pediatric Therapy, P.C., is owned and operated by
Melissa Bradley-Potter, M.A., CCC-SLP. Melissa is a Nebraska licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist serving families in Omaha and surrounding areas. An Iowa native who lives with her husband, eleven year old twin boys and eight year old daughter, Melissa has been working with children and their families for almost two decades. Melissa is a parent of children with autism and ADHD.
Melissa is a Certified Hanen Instructor for the It Takes Two to Talk® Program and the More Than Words® Program. These programs teach families how to become their child's most important language teacher. She is a Certified Baby Signs Instructor, teaching families how to communicate with their babies through sign.
Melissa is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSLHA). She is also a member of the Nebraska Occupational Therapy Association (NOTA) and a guild member for the Autism Action Partnership (AAP). Melissa specializes in working with autistic children, children with Down Syndrome, ADHD, and early intervention toddlers and preschoolers. Melissa is passionate about neurodiversity affirming practice, parent education, and mentoring the next generation of therapists to help our community. Melissa grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa and went to undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Melissa loves crocheting, travel, reading, children's literature, animals and coffee. She enjoys experiencing all of the wonderful activities that Omaha has to offer with her family and friends. Melissa has a 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback dog named Bea and a 1 year old Schnoodle named Hattie.
Her favorite color is turquoise and she has an iris garden that blooms in beautiful colors in the spring.
THERAPISTS

Courtney Claxton - Speech-Language Pathologist
Courtney Claxton is a Speech Language Pathologist. who earned her Master's degree in 2019 from University of Central Missouri and her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 2017. Courtney has experience with children and adults of various
populations including Autism, language delays, literacy, traumatic brain
injury and more from working in private practice and school- based
settings. Courtney is a military spouse and recently moved to Nebraska from Virginia. Courtney is originally from Kansas so she is excited to be closer to home! Courtney has enjoyed learning more about Natural Language Acquisition and executive functioning, while completing recent training.
When she is not working Courtney enjoys traveling, cheering on the KC Chiefs and K-State Wildcats, being involved in the community, and trying out new restaurants and coffee shops.
Brad Gibson is a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Omaha native. Brad has 20 plus years of experience working with elementary age children.
Brad has been married to his wife for 19 years and their daughter is a freshman in college. Brad has a lot of jokes that he loves to tell and brings energy and fun to every therapy session.
Emily Edinger is an Occupational Therapist
She got her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Augusta University in 2024 after completing her Bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia in 2022. She has experience in outpatient pediatrics and with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism, Down Syndrome, sensory processing disorder, genetic disorders, and developmental delays.
She is a military spouse that just moved here from Mississippi, but she is originally from Georgia. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time outside, spending time with friends and family, watching sports, and playing with her dog.
Rylee Wright is an Occupational Therapist
She earned her Masters degree in 2024 from Nebraska Methodist College after receiving her undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in 2022. Rylee has experience with children of various populations including, Autism, developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and more from working in private practice settings.

Rylee recently moved with her husband to Nebraska from Kansas, where she is originally from. She is getting used to city life as she always lived in a small town. When she isn't working, Rylee enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and doing anything outdoors including hiking, fishing and boating at the lake!
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
Jesse Potter is our Patient Services Manager and has been with Blue Door since day one! He has vast experience and knowledge working in the medical field with providers across Nebraska and in western Iowa. He has degrees in Biochemistry and Community and Public Affairs.

Jesse enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and 2 dogs. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys boating and golfing. He coaches his kids All-Play baseball team along with his wife.
Lauren Leggitt is our Collections Specialist and is part of our billing administration team. She is currently studying medical billing and coding. Her years of customer service experience and administrative experience are here to help our billing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
She found Blue Door when her own children needed services and has loved it here ever since.
Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids, 3 Great Danes and 2 cats. You will also find her traveling to Colorado throughout the year to spend time with her family and to enjoy the mountains
